Empatica is a Symphonic Heavy Metal band from the south of the Netherlands. Building their sounds from influences of Nightwish, Dimmu Borgir, Sonata Arctica, Rhapsody of Fire and Epica. The band was founded by Harald Bouten and Bram Hoogstraten after they quit Inquisition Symphony in the spring of 2010. In the fall of 2011 the band's initial line-up was completed and the band moved to the garage of Rick Krause, their new keyboard player. In august the band found their new vocalist in Danny Weijs. Jaap Didden was hired for bass, Synths by Sheree Hoogenberg and Drums for Martijn Oosterhuis.
